Hi everyone! I'm Heather, the owner and lead planner at Paisley and Pearl Events! I absolutely love weddings and getting to know our amazing couples. My favorite part of the wedding is when the couple walks down the aisle after saying their vows to their partner and having their first kiss, the pure joy on their faces is priceless! I have many other favorite parts, and tear up at almost anything sweet during the wedding day! I am a crazy dog mom of our rescue Collie/German Shepherd/Lab mix Zooey, who I am sure you will see many times on our Instagram! I am a proud graduate of NC State University with my bachelor's and master's degrees in psychology and counseling, but our team attended a variety of universities, so we welcome all couples! I started off as a middle school counselor for two years and made the jump to full time wedding planning before my first year of business was even over! I loved it so much! I just knew it was my calling to help couples experience their wedding and each other.
I'm an extroverted, loud laughing, animal loving, woman who enjoys to connect in person over coffee and writes in too many exclamations!

Our favorite part of the planning process is getting to know our couples over coffee meetings and in person meetings. We love to work with diverse couples of any race, culture, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any combinations of the above and treat all like our own families.

On the wedding day we want the day to be special for you! We want it to go smoothly and be beautiful, but our main focus is the two of you. The wedding is not just the end of wedding planning, it is the beginning of your marriage to your person, your partner, your best friend! This is why we offer premarital counseling along with wedding planning!

Premarital Counseling begins at $150
Paisley and Pearl Events offers three types of wedding planning services to fit your needs. These packages include full planning, partial planning, and month of coordination packages.
Our focus on marriages throughout the wedding planning process includes offering premarital counseling to couples like you by our owner, Heather Bonawitz Kidd. She is a Nationally Board Certified Counselor, master's educated in counseling, and PREPARE/Enrich certified. This package includes the PREPARE/Enrich assessment and two results driven sessions with the option to add sessions on. Premarital counseling helps you prepare for a healthy marriage and discuss topics needed before marriage. I mean in what other situation can you get a license without any training? Just a marriage license! Let's change that together!

I absolutely could not have planned it without them! Heather made my vision come to life, she helped me talk things through, and she taught me not to sweat the small stuff. I enjoyed having her guidance and creativity throughout the entire process. And she was definitely a super hero on the big day and made sure everything went seamlessly. We’re nine months into planning our wedding and I probably would have settled for the courthouse by now if it weren’t for Paisley and Pearl. I am a very organized, planning oriented person, but I would be overwhelmed with all it if Heather and her team weren’t there to help when I really need it. They’ve answered my rambling questions with patience and kindness. And helped settle my nerves from caterers changing menus after we booked them to finding the best deal on unexpected expenses. I’m excited to get started on pre-marital counseling soon and refocus our energy on love and acceptance! We are confident that Paisley and Pearl will help us pull off a fantastic wedding come March and get us started on our beautiful life together!

I'm quite the planner and knew I'd need to turn the logistics over to someone so that I could just relax and enjoy our wedding day. Heather was that person and more! I felt so confident with her as our month of coordinator. She was organized and kept everyone in the loop. She had to handle some last minute hiccups and did it all with a calm and warm demeanor. She made a schedule for each person and thought of all the little things that you may not in planning a wedding. She is incredibly good at what she does and I'd highly recommend her!!!
